PRIVACY POLICY

1. This Privacy Policy applies to the www.ibdim.edu.pl website (the “Website”). It defines the basic principles of processing and protection of personal data provided by Users in connection with their use of the Website. The Policy also informs about the purposes and scope of the processing of personal data that will be acquired in connection with browsing the Website, in particular through cookies.

2. The Controller of the Personal Data contained in the Website is the Road and Bridge Research Institute, (hereinafter referred to as the “IBDiM”) with its registered office in Warsaw, ul. Instytutowa 1, 03-302 Warsaw, entered into the register of entrepreneurs kept by the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw in Warsaw, 14th Commercial Division of the National Court Register - KRS: 0000158240, Tax Identification Number [NIP]: 5250007661, Polish National Business Registry Number [REGON]: 000127686.

3. Out of concern for the safety of data entrusted with us, we have implemented a system of personal data protection, the functioning of which ensures the protection of Users’ privacy and prevents their personal data from being made available to unauthorized persons and entities. We control the activities of the personal data protection system and we constantly check its compliance with current legal acts, including the acts of the Community law.

4. In the forms available at the Website, the User provides personal data necessary to place orders in the on-line store available at the Website. The User indicates whether he/she is interested in receiving information e.g. about new services, the IBDiM Websites and consents to processing of his/her personal data by the IBDiM for the purposes of the services provided by the IBDiM. In addition to the registration form, Users’ personal information may be collected in the course of providing other services.

5. The User's consent for the IBDiM to process his/her personal data for marketing purposes is completely voluntary. Each User has the right to inspect and correct the data provided and to demand their deletion.

6. Users' personal data included in the registration forms will be processed by the IBDiM in order to perform the services provided at the Website and for the purposes indicated in the registration forms concerning specific services. This data helps the IBDiM to determine Users’ requirements and to improve the offer addressed at them.

7. The Website obtains data about Users and their requirements through information:

a) voluntarily entered and recorded in the form by the User;

b) contained in “cookies”.

8. Cookies are text files stored by the web browser on the User's computer while browsing the website. They make it possible to distinguish a User logged into the Website. When the connection is re-established, the cookies are read.

9. Cookies used by the Website are not used to identify the User and the User's identity is not determined based on the cookies.

10. The data provided in the form are processed for the purpose resulting from the function of a particular form. Such purpose is, for example, to make contact for information as regards the activities carried out by the Road and Bridge Research Institute.

11. The Road and Bridge Research Institute is the entity placing information in the form of cookies and other similar technologies in the User's end device (e.g. computer, laptop, smartphone, Smart TV) and accessing them.

12. The IBDiM websites use “cookies” for the following purposes:

a) adapting the content of *.ibdim.edu.pl websites to User preferences and optimizing the use of the websites;

b) maintaining the User session after logging in, thanks to which the User does not have to re-enter his/her login and password on each subpage of the Website;

c) support and enforcement of activities to maintain the safe use of the Website;

d) analysis of the use of the IBDiM websites and measuring the effectiveness of promotional activities (Google Analytics).

13. Text files, “cookies”, are also used on external websites linked to the Website. The IBDiM is not responsible for the privacy policy of websites linked to the Website.

14. The Road and Bridge Research Institute uses the following types of “cookies”:

a) information and security cookies (has_js),

b) cookies for collecting anonymous information about the use of the Google Analytics website (__utma, __utmb, __utmc, __utmz),

c) cookies for “remembering” settings selected by the User and personalizing the User interface (SESSxxxID), which expire at the end of the session.

15. The available web browsers usually allow the storage of cookies on the User's device by default. Users can change their cookie settings at any time. These settings can be changed in particular in such a way as to block the automatic handling of cookies in the settings of the web browser or inform about their placement in the device of the website User each time. Detailed information on the possibility and methods of using cookies is available in the web browser settings. Failure to change the settings of cookies means that they will be placed on the User's device, and thus the Road and Bridge Research Institute will be able to store information in the User's device and gain access to this information.

16. Disabling cookies may cause difficulties in using the Road and Bridge Research Institute website.

18. This Privacy Policy comes into force on 25.05.2018.

19. The rules set forth in the Privacy Policy are governed by Polish law.

20. If the applicable Privacy Policy changes, modifications to the above policy will be made available on the website.
